Croatina 2020

There is no greater advocate for the Croatina grape in Alto Piemonte than Davide Carlone. One could suppose that a grape variety like Croatina, which produces more powerful, color-rich, heart-warming reds, were probably a more welcome winter drink up in Boca and further back into the Alps than the paler colored and tense Nebbiolos and Vespolinas. Davide works traditionally with larger old oak botti and extended aging for the Boca wines, while all the single varietal reds are aged exclusively in steel.
