Frosty lemon, lime curd, dainty white flowers. Palate is lean and fresh with an alpine crispness, precise and delicate with a citrusy element. A little shy when too cold, the nuances deliver when brought up to a breezy temperature. Mostly Jacquère with also touches of Chasselas, Chardonnay & Altesse. Philippe Viallet, second generation joined the Estate and created Maison Philippe Viallet in 1985 after his family first started acquiring vineyards in 1966. Savoie consists of many isolated subregions and plots of vineyards, neighboring Switzerland to the East, the Jura to the North, and Bugey to the West.
