Meinklang’s Prosa Sparkling Rose

Looking for a wine that’s as fun as it is fabulous? This crisp, bubbly wine is made using the Charmat method, so it’s not a pét-nat, but it’s just as delightful. From one of Austria’s largest organic farms, Meinklang shows that great wine doesn’t have to be fussy.

Ever-Changing Blend

Each year, Meinklang’s sparkling wine features a fresh blend of Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent, Blauburgunder, and Blaufränkisch. The blend changes slightly every year, so you’re always in for a new experience with each bottle.

Farm Fresh

Meinklang is a lively farm in East Austria, complete with vineyards, orchards, and agriculture. Angela and Werner run the wine estate, with help from their Angus cattle herd, which provides organic dung for the vineyards (yes, you read that correctly). This creates a closed-loop system that’s key to their biodynamic Demeter production.

Unique to Meinklang are their unpruned vines, or "graupert," and their use of concrete egg-shaped containers for aging wine. They’ve also started the first holistic Demeter brewery, making ancient grain beer from Einkorn and Emmer wheat.

Cheers to Zev Rovine

Zev Rovine, a natural wine importer based in New York City, is a big fan of Meinklang. His portfolio includes small production, organic, biodynamic, and natural wines from around the world, with Meinklang being one of the stars.
